My Coaching Practice

I became a parent coach because I kept watching the same thing happen.

A parent would come to me—exhausted, frustrated, convinced they were doing something wrong, and within a few sessions everything would shift. Not because I fixed them: because they finally had a way of understanding what their child was actually saying. Once you hear that, you cannot unhear it. Everything changes.

I have spent over 25 years working with children from the tiniest infants finding their place in the world to teenagers pushing hard against every boundary they can find. For 15 of those years I have been teaching and directing an infant and preschool center, which means I have not just studied child development. I have lived it, every single day, in real rooms with real families navigating real moments. That experience is the foundation of everything I bring into coaching.

My philosophy is simple, but it changes everything once you really take it in: your child is always communicating through their behavior. Always. Especially the behavior that is driving you absolutely crazy right now. My job is to help you hear what they are saying, respond with empathy, and take loving action. Not someday. Not after years of unpacking your childhood. Now. With a plan you can actually use.

I work with parents individually, with couples who are trying to get on the same page, and in group settings where the community itself becomes part of the parenting journey. Whatever the format, the goal is always the same: clearer boundaries, stronger connection, and a home that feels calmer—not because your child suddenly became easier, but because you found a new way in.

I also bring trauma-informed strategies into everything I do, because I believe that understanding the nervous system—yours and your child's—is one of the most practical parenting tools there is.

If you are tired of reacting and ready to respond. If you are ready to stop surviving bedtime and start actually enjoying your family. If some part of you believes your home could feel different than it does right now—

I would love to talk.

What Parents Say After Coaching With Me

“I'm a mom of three, ages nine, six, and three. We homeschool and sometimes life is a bit chaotic. We're still in early stages of parenting, and I've done some learning and growing, but Kim was able to help me state some goals I didn't realize I had, that made a big difference in how our daily rhythms go. Being aware of our strengths, what works well already, and where we want to be, has brought so much more peace and contentment into the simple stuff of little kid life. We are more joyful together because we defined where we want to be instead of moving forward with unsettled, and often unmet, expectations. Not everything is perfect, of course, but I've been able to make easier changes in my reactions and slower responses when things go awry. I've already seen fewer outbursts from the kids because they're GETTING fewer outbursts from me! Kim is so kind, patient, and really able to help you see what the good things are. She was such an encouragement!”

“Working with Kim for parenting coaching was both grounding and expansive. She offered timely, practical advice that immediately helped in challenging moments, but what stood out most was how she empowered me to reimagine what our family life could actually look like. Instead of prescribing rigid systems, she helped me step into my own clarity and creativity. I felt trusted with the reins. Through her guidance, I was able to design structures that truly fit our values and rhythms, and our relationships have softened and strengthened because of it. It didn’t feel like being ‘taught’ how to parent, it felt like being supported to become the parent I already sensed I could be.”
