Welcome! Are you ready for things to feel a little more manageable at home?

I’m a PCI Certified Parent Coach® based in beautiful Northampton, Massachusetts (though my clients live all over the world!). I have a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Teachers College, Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts. Before becoming a full-time coach I wore many hats, including working as a nonprofit executive director while raising three children.

As a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and LGBTQ+-affirming coach, I'm passionate about helping people navigate life transitions, clarify their goals, and build sustainable systems of support to help them thrive. My approach is collaborative and non-judgmental. Together, we look at what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and what practical changes might help things feel more manageable for you at home, at work, and in your relationships.

I work with parents, grandparents, and caregivers navigating a wide range of experiences, including neurodivergence, school challenges, anxiety, executive functioning differences, family transitions, and the ongoing complexity of balancing caregiving with the rest of life. Some of the parents I work with are also community leaders, helpers, educators, and high-achieving professionals who are carrying a great deal behind the scenes.

As your coach, I’ll create a space for reflection, problem-solving, accountability, and support, with practical strategies you can try right away. The best way to see if this work is a good fit is to send me a message or schedule a free consultation. If I’m not the right fit, I will do my best to help you find someone who is.

What Parents Say After Coaching With Me

I am delighted to recommend Emily Kieval as an extraordinary parent coach. She has a rare combination of compassion, insight, and practical skill that makes her stand out, along with an intuitive sense of how kids’ brains work. She sees each child as a whole person and recognizes their unique needs, strengths, and challenges. Emily’s guidance has not only helped my children feel more supported and understood but has also empowered me as a parent. I am deeply grateful for the impact Emily has had on my family.

Working with Emily Kieval was a true gift to me in my parenthood journey. I came to her needing support navigating a stressful job, a busy schedule, and lots of difficult challenges in my parenting journey. Emily helped me discover my strengths as a parent and encouraged me to use them in really effective ways. More importantly, she helped me see my children as the independent and capable people they are, which has shifted my whole mindset. Emily is kind, patient, and always encourages me to dream about the best possible outcome, then work toward it. Her support has led me to making shifts and changes that have created a calmer and happier family environment for me and my children. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
