Understanding your child. Strengthening your connection.

With nearly 20 years of experience as a Parent Coach, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to every family I support. ADHD has shaped my own family's journey, and we believe it has played an important role in many of our greatest strengths and successes.

After graduating from The Parent Coach Institute (PCI®) in 2005, I have had the privilege of working with hundreds of families, helping parents create calmer, more connected, and more confident family lives. Through my private practice, Head to Heart ADHD Parenting, I specialize in coaching parents of children with ADHD and executive functioning challenges. For the past 11 years, I have also served as a Parent Coach at the Hallowell/Todaro ADHD and Behavioral Health Center in Seattle, Washington, and, for the past several years, as the Director of Parent Coaching.

My coaching is grounded in the belief that ADHD is not simply a challenge to manage—it is a unique way of thinking that comes with remarkable strengths. My goal is to help parents better understand their child, recognize and nurture those strengths, and develop practical, compassionate strategies that work in everyday life. Because every child and every family is different, I tailor my coaching to meet each family's unique needs and goals.

Before becoming a parent coach, I worked as a teacher, tutor, and educational coach, partnering with an educational therapist to support children with ADHD and other learning differences. I am married, the mother of three grown daughters, and a grandmother to seven wonderful grandchildren. Our family proudly embraces the gifts of ADHD, and that perspective continues to inspire my work every day.

What Parents Say After Coaching With Me

Peggy Gomula provided empathy, education, and expertise during parent coaching sessions. The resources and research she shared helped us understand ADHD better and relate to our daughter with empathy. The parenting path she encouraged us to take has allowed us to maintain a loving relationship throughout very challenging times with both our children and especially with our teenage daughter who has the gift of ADHD. Not only did Peggy help us realize our daughter’s potential with specific advice for parenting with ADHD, she (most likely unknowingly) helped me transfer those skills to the children in my sixth grade classes.

I came to see Peggy for parenting tips with my tween and teen daughters. What I got was so much more. I learned how to let go of the stuff that didn't matter and to focus more on my relationship with them rather than getting “parenting” right. Having three successful grown children of her own, Peggy's honesty, humor, and compassion gave me the hope and confidence in trying a new approach of supporting my children during these extraordinary years of growth and development.

Peggy's gift is authentically connecting with parents to accept the challenges of parenting and appreciate the gifts of the child always. She has been immensely helpful in our parenting journey during the teen years with guidance, love, and laughter. Peggy offers a safe, non-judgmental place to share and she listens with compassion to the specific needs of our family. She was quickly able to help us identify what would make our family life more connected so we could then shift behavior and habits. Peggy delivers information and strategies in a personal way that gives us, as parents, an understanding of how and why it will make a difference in communicating with and supporting our child. She is a vast resource and an unbelievable life-saver with parenting and understanding ADHD. Parenting can feel very lonely at times and Peggy leads wonderful parent support groups that are supportive and productive. Her follow-up is extraordinary and gives us a roadmap to reference along the way. We look forward to our meetings with Peggy and walk away from each session so full of encouragement and empowerment in our parenting. Peggy's experience and perspective have been an absolute blessing to our family. This is Peggy's life work in her family and ours.
