Parent with Confidence. Lead with Heart.

Parenting is the most important job you’ll ever have—and you don’t have to do it alone. I help parents build confidence, clarity, and practical skills so they can parent well, every day. I’m an adoptive parent of three remarkable young adults who have been my greatest teachers and inspiration. Professionally, I bring decades of experience in alcohol and drug prevention, mental health advocacy, family planning, and community health education. I’ve served as a university health educator, executive director of two nonprofit organizations, and a consultant for a large corporation.

In 2003, I was among the first graduates of the Parent Coaching Institute and became a PCI Certified Parent Coach®. I later co-founded Sound Parent, a collective of four PCI Certified Parent Coaches®, where I coached families for five years.

My coaching blends real-world parenting experience with my training as a master’s-level community health educator. I specialize in helping parents bridge the gap between what should work and what actually works for their unique family. I also bring deep personal understanding of parenting through ADHD, adolescent depression, dyslexia, and sensory processing disorder (SPD). I know what it means to parent in chaos—and how to find your way forward.

I’m a founding member of two organizations dedicated to creating positive, relevant opportunities for teens and was co-owner of Life’s a Poodle, a grassroots organization promoting the success and dignity of children who learn differently.

In addition to my private practice, I am a Parent Coach at the Hallowell Todaro ADHD and Behavioral Health Center in Seattle.

I work with parents and couples on:

  • Adoption
  • Advocating for children with learning differences (ADHD, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder)
  • Co-parenting challenges and misalignment
  • Setting healthy boundaries at every age
  • Screen-time boundaries (devices and video games)

Sessions

I meet with parents and couples via Zoom or Google Meet.

What Parents Say After Coaching With Me

I am so grateful to have found you and to have received your guidance, support and resources on additional information on parenting. I still have a lot to learn and work on; however, with the new information you’ve given me, I am much more confident that I will do a much better job of raising my daughter to help her to be all that she can be.

Sally is an exceptional woman, mother, and parent coach. Her commitment to children is evident in her own parenting style and dedication to her family. Sally is extremely resourceful, bright, and well read, especially in areas pertaining to child development and family dynamics. She will go beyond ‘nine yards’ for a child or family needing extra help. Sally can clearly assess challenging family issues and is gentle but forthright in offering help or solutions to problems. Her role as a parent coach is a natural one for her. I cannot think of anyone better than Sally to refer parents needing guidance.
