With over 22 years of experience in higher education, and through my ongoing professional development and community leadership, I have an extensive understanding of family dynamics and a deep knowledge of student development in the teen through early adult years. I specialize in helping parents as they guide their child through the:

• college exploration process;
• ups and downs of college life;
• post-college transitions.

While coaching individuals and presenting parenting programs, I am continuously learning about the concerns and challenges that families experience as they send their children to college and parent through the college years. I have personal parenting experience with divorce, single parenting, blended families and juggling work and family life. I am the parent of a 12-year-old daughter and have guided a stepson through college. Parent coaching is an opportunity to discover new ways to address challenging situations, affirm what is already working, share ideas and resources, and identify goals and next steps.
