Parenting is the most important job you’ll ever have. I can help you gain the confidence to PARENT WELL…every day!

I am an adoptive parent of three fabulous young adults who have been my teachers and my inspiration. I have worked in alcohol and drug prevention, mental health advocacy and prevention, and family planning. I have been a university health educator, an executive director of two non-profit organizations, and a consultant for a large corporation.

In 2003 I was one of the first to graduate from the Parent Coaching Institute as a PCI Certified Parent Coach®. I was a founding partner and Parent Coach with Sound Parent, a collective of four PCI Certified Parent Coaches® for five years.

My coaching practice blends my experience as a parent with my expertise as a masters-level community health educator to help parents bridge the gap between what they are told will work and what really does work for their family. I have had personal experience with ADHD, adolescent depression, Dyslexia and Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). I understand fully what it means to be a parent in chaos.

I am a founding member of the Bainbridge Coalition for Youth and Parents (now Raising Resilience) and Imagine Bainbridge, two organizations that promoted a positive environment and relevant opportunities for teens. I was co-owner of Life's a Poodle, a grassroots organization promoting the success and dignity of children who learn differently.

In addition to my private practice, I am a Parent Coach at the Hallowell Todaro ADHD Center in Seattle, Kirkland, and Palo Alto.

I work with individual parents and couples in the following areas:

  • Adoption
  • Advocating for a child with learning differences such as Dyslexia, ADHD, or Autism Spectrum
  • Co-parenting discrepancies
  • Setting appropriate boundaries for all ages
  • Setting appropriate screen time boundaries (video games and devices)
  • Teens transitioning home after wilderness or a boarding school placement

I am available to meet with parents over Zoom or by phone.

What Parents Say After Coaching With Me

I am so grateful to have found you and to have received your guidance, support and resources on additional information on parenting. I still have a lot to learn and work on; however, with the new information you’ve given me, I am much more confident that I will do a much better job of raising my daughter to help her to be all that she can be.

Sally is an exceptional woman, mother, and parent coach. Her commitment to children is evident in her own parenting style and dedication to her family. Sally is extremely resourceful, bright, and well read, especially in areas pertaining to child development and family dynamics. She will go beyond ‘nine yards’ for a child or family needing extra help. Sally can clearly assess challenging family issues and is gentle but forthright in offering help or solutions to problems. Her role as a parent coach is a natural one for her. I cannot think of anyone better than Sally to refer parents needing guidance.
